This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the types of information we collect from you through your use of our Shopify application and accessibility widget (collectively, the "Services"), how we use and disclose such information, and the rights and options you have regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information from Shopify Merchants

When you install our application, we may collect:

• Store Information: Your Shopify store name, domain, and store ID as provided by Shopify during the installation process.
• Contact Information: Email address associated with your Shopify account for communication purposes.
• Widget Configuration: Settings and preferences you configure for the accessibility widget, including appearance settings, enabled features, and language preferences.

B. Information from Store Visitors

Our accessibility widget is designed with privacy in mind. When visitors use the widget on your store:

• Accessibility Preferences: We store accessibility settings (such as font size, contrast preferences, and enabled profiles) locally in the visitor's browser using localStorage. This data never leaves the visitor's device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII) from store visitors.
• No Tracking: We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to monitor visitor behavior.

C. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information when you access our application dashboard:

• IP address (for security and fraud prevention)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Date and time of access
• Pages viewed within our application

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing Services: To install, configure, and maintain the accessibility widget on your store.

• Shopify: As required by Shopify's platform and API requirements for app functionality.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you uninstall our application, we will delete your store data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

Visitor accessibility preferences stored in localStorage remain on the visitor's device until they clear their browser data or manually reset their preferences through the widget.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS
• Secure hosting infrastructure
• Regular security assessments and updates
• Access controls and authentication mechanisms

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Widget: The accessibility widget does NOT use cookies or any tracking technologies. All user preferences are stored locally on the visitor's device using localStorage, which is not accessible to us or any third parties.

Our Services integrate with Shopify's platform. When you use our Services, you are also subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy, which you can review at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

We may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and other operational purposes. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
